Race Club 2008 Junior Ski Racing Lessons Again this year the club sponsored ski race lessons for the juniors of our club.  Feedback received following the lessons indicated that all the children really enjoyed the opportunity to get specific technique tips and some said they really enjoyed learning how to skate out of the gates at the start of a race. They also spent time learning how to go around the racing poles (picking a line, turning before the gate etc). The last group got more than they bargained for in their lesson ........... the instructor got lost and took 9 future Muniong members "off piste" and through the new powder somewhere behind Guthega!!  Much laughter and fun was had, along with the inevitable tears and even some plodding along the road.  A few good stories will be told about that one. The lessons have been provided by the club to help improve technique and racing skills together with hopefully forging some long lasting friendships between future members of the club.   We look forward to providing more lessons in the coming seasons and to continuing our encouragement of Muniong Junior Skiing.
